What the image tools cover
The converters above move pictures between JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, BMP, ICO and SVG, and the editing tools handle the jobs that usually surround a conversion: compressing a photo under an upload limit, resizing to exact pixels, center-cropping to a ratio, rotating or mirroring, stamping a text watermark, and reading text out of a screenshot with OCR.
Everything accepts multiple files at once. Quality-sensitive tools expose a quality slider instead of a hidden default, and batch results can be downloaded one by one or as a single ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
Will converting reduce my image quality?
Converting between lossless formats (PNG, BMP, lossless WebP) keeps every pixel. Converting to JPG or lossy WebP applies the quality level you choose — higher quality means a larger file. Repeated lossy re-saves stack losses, so always convert from your original rather than from an earlier conversion.
Do transparency and animation survive?
PNG and WebP keep full transparency. JPG and BMP have no alpha channel, so transparent areas are flattened onto a background. Animated GIF input is read as its first frame by the still-image tools, and GIF output from our encoder does not carry transparency either — the tool pages say so wherever that applies.
Why do iPhone photos need converting at all?
iPhones save photos as HEIC, which many Windows programs, older tools and upload forms still reject. Converting HEIC to JPG or PNG produces a file that opens everywhere.
