A complete PDF workbench
These tools convert PDFs to images, text and Word; build PDFs out of images, text and Office documents; and reorganize existing files — merge, split, rotate, reorder, extract or remove pages. On top of that sit the maintenance jobs: compressing to a target quality, adding page numbers or a watermark, password-protecting with real AES-256 encryption, unlocking a PDF you know the password to, repairing damaged files, redacting content permanently and OCR-reading scanned pages.
Most PDF tools run in your browser; Word, Excel and PowerPoint conversions run on our server through LibreOffice and are marked with a server-conversion note on their pages.
Frequently asked questions
Will my text stay selectable?
It depends on the direction. PDF-to-image deliberately turns pages into pictures. Compress keeps text selectable. OCR does the opposite of rasterizing — it adds a text layer to scanned pages. Each tool page states what it preserves.
Can you open a password-protected PDF?
Only with the password you already know: Unlock PDF removes the protection after you type the correct password. Protect PDF adds AES-256 encryption. There is no tool here for cracking unknown passwords.
Should I compress a PDF or convert it to images?
Compress when the file must stay a real document — text selectable, printable, structure intact. Convert to JPG or PNG when the destination wants pictures (a slide, a form that only accepts images, a quick preview). Image pages are usually larger per page and lose selectable text.
