How to reorder PDF pages

  1. Click Choose files (or drag & drop) and select one or more PDF files. You can also paste them from your file manager.
  2. Type the new page order, e.g. "3, 1, 2". Pages you leave out are dropped; repeating a number duplicates that page.
  3. Press Reorder pages. Processing runs with a live progress indicator.
  4. Open the download page to save your files individually or grab everything as a single ZIP.

Why reorganize a PDF?

Scanned in the wrong order, appendix in the middle, signature page first — page order problems are constant. The pages appear as thumbnails, so you reorder by dragging what you can see instead of counting pages in another window first. Clicking a page drops it, which means reordering and clean-up happen in one pass. If you prefer typing, the order box still works and the two stay in sync.

What this tool preserves — and what it changes

✓ Preserved

  • The content of every page you keep — reordering copies pages losslessly, no re-rendering
  • Your typed sequence exactly: "3, 1, 2" produces pages in precisely that order, nothing is sorted for you

↺ Changed

  • Pages you do not mention are removed, and repeating a number duplicates that page — reorder, delete and duplicate in a single pass
  • Because the output is rebuilt page-by-page in your order (with a -reordered suffix), the source's bookmark outline — which points at the old page positions — is not carried over

Known limits & edge cases

  • The order box takes single page numbers only — ranges like "1-3" are ignored here, unlike in Split and Extract
  • At least one valid page number is required; anything non-numeric in the list is skipped silently

About the formats

What is a PDF file?

PDF is the universal document format: it locks layout, fonts and images so a file looks identical on every device and printer. Scans, invoices, forms, e-books and reports all travel as PDF. Because a PDF is a container rather than an image, turning its pages into JPG or PNG pictures — or bundling pictures into a PDF — are among the most common file tasks there are.

Reordering pages by typing the order you want

Type “3, 1, 2” and the document becomes exactly that: page three first, then one, then two. Pages you leave out are dropped; a number repeated appears twice. That one text box replaces the usual thumbnail-dragging ritual and covers reordering, trimming and duplicating in a single operation — with a precision that scales to documents where dragging would be misery.

It’s the recovery tool for scans assembled in the wrong order, double-sided documents scanned as two passes (odd pages then even), and packets that need a page promoted to the front or a form duplicated per applicant. The output is a copied arrangement of the original pages — no re-rendering, no quality change — so experimenting is free: if the order isn’t right, run it again with a better recipe.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Organize PDF Pages tool free?

Yes — completely free, with no sign-up, no watermarks and no daily quota. Processing happens in this browser, so the practical limit is the memory available on your device.

Can I process multiple PDF files at once?

Yes. Add as many files as you like — each one is processed in sequence with its own progress status, and you can download the results individually or all together as a ZIP archive.

Does editing re-compress my PDF or reduce its quality?

No. Pages are copied at the object level — text, fonts, images and vector content are carried over as-is, without re-rendering. The output keeps the same sharpness and searchable text as the original.

How does the order box work?

Type page numbers separated by commas in the order you want them, e.g. 3, 1, 2. The new PDF follows that sequence exactly. Any page you do not mention is dropped, and repeating a number duplicates that page.
